You will have the option of an immediate start at our established environmental clean-up firm that prides ourselves on having a great company culture. With strong safety ethos & a friendly working environment, we strive to always put the client first.

The role involves friable removals, other hazardous materials remediation and demolition works. There is occasional work away (typically a few days) as well as weekend and school holidays work due to the nature of the industry.

The ideal candidate is:
  • Minimum 5 Years’ Experience within a similar position (asbestos experience would be an asset but not required)
  • Strong leadership skills & the proven capability to drive a onsite team to success
  • Experience completing site paperwork professionally
  • Strong interpersonal skills & comfortability dealing with a variety of clientele including all levels government, bluechip clientele & residential customers
  • Valid Driver’s License, White Card

A-B Class Asbestos Supervisor

  • Proactively take control of day to day running of the allocated site and staff within that site or work area and be able to adhere and be fully aware of all legislative requirements.
  • Ensure all elements of work is completed to a high standard and meets or surpasses relevant legislation requirements.
  • All work is undertaken in accordance with the ARCP and Scope of Works.
  • To have all RPE /PPE/ personal tools maintained in a clean, serviceable, and presentable manner.
  • To ensure any mobile telephone, computer, laptop is only used for company always use and kept safe and secure.
  • To wear company clothing.
  • To be able to lead and guide and safely manage a removalist team on site, and to train staff including trainees where required.
  • Ensure coordination with operations manager on all plant equipment, materials and any other resources.
  • Ensure all health and safety obligations, company policies, procedures and compliance are meet.
  • Ensure the project runs smoothly with all parties including but not limited the asbestos assessor and client.
  • Ensure cost are kept within budget and cost saving measure are implemented where required.
  • Coordination of clearances with Asbestos Assessor
  • Report all scope creep and potential variation to Immediate Manager, PM or Operations manager and General manager for confirmation of costs.
  • Ensure all accidents are reported immediately.
  • Coordination of subcontractors where required i.e skip bin change overs
  • Ensure plant and equipment is looked after and maintained.
  • Asbestos supervisors are expected to work daily within the Asbestos work area with all staff.
  • Ensure all plant and equipment required for servicing is notified to operations manager.
  • Ensure job is run productively.
