Asbestos Testing FAQ
Asbestos testing must be conducted by a NATA accredited laboratory that abides by Australian Standard AS 4964 Method for qualitative identification of bulk samples.
Positive identification of asbestos must be performed by polarized light, electron microscopy, among other laboratory techniques which will identify the fibers.
Following laboratory testing, a detailed report specifying the type of asbestos and weight of the sample will be provided. Initial asbestos testing is available free of charge*
