Asbestos in Soils remediation for – Gateway project at Perth International Airport.
Working with one of Western Australia’s biggest Joint ventures on one of Western Australia’s biggest projects our team was responsible for bulk contaminated soil remediation across a vast area of land. During our 9,000 man hours on the project our team had to deal with strict time constraints, harsh environmental factors, working closely with heavy machinery and extensive noise pollution from low flying aircraft.
Daily monitoring and inspections were carried out by Gateway WA personnel and we maintained our incident free record. At commencement of the project our team received an “E.P.I.C” award of achievement and gratitude for our high standard of work and ability to meet time constraints, “Displaying consistent, high level professionalism and practicality in attempts with dealing in high risk asbestos works in Area 2 AnzEnviro displayed all values of EPIC during the asbestos remediation works process. The team worked well with drainage and structures crews to come up with smart initiatives such as segregate areas in order to hand over sections at a time to keep work in front of both teams. As this area is located in Bath 3, it threatened further big delays to the Structures team. It is to their credit that works are still on track for handing over bath 3 to structures early in June.”

Asbestos packer removal from hinges for - FedEx/Australian Customs
Recently our team was contacted to remove ACM from a shipment that FedEx received. During this project our team worked closely with customs agents to meet the legislation requirements. The job consisted of two hundred polished stainless steel hinges that contained eight asbestos packers each. Our team had to carefully remove all ACM without damaging the hinges. A small enclosure was erected and site clearance pumps were ran to clear the enclosure before taking it down. Once again our team carried out the highest degree of professionalism and exceeded our client's expectations.
